STONY BROOK CONCERT ARCHIVE
Background
This is a website dedicated to the archival of concerts held at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY from 1967 to 1973. During this period the students at Stony Brook were treated to some of the top pop acts in the world. As rock & roll was exploding in the U.S. drawing acts from the U.S. and the U.K., the Stony Brook Student Activities Board was booking concerts in the Stony Brook Gymnasium as the acts made their way through the Northeast U.S. During the late 60’s and early 70’s college campuses were fertile ground for these bands to perform, and Stony Brook was just possibly at the head of the class. What follows is a listing of concerts performed at Stony Brook during the period 1967 – 1973. We know that this list is not complete, especially during the summer vacation months. Your help is appreciated to complete this list.

Our goal is to assemble the most accurate, comprehensive archive for concerts held at Stony Brook University. Ultimately we hope to confirm all dates with newspaper ads, performance reviews, ticket stubs and posters.
